Graying Gracefully

Finding your first gray hair can be a daunting experience for anyone, but just¬†take a breather and relax!¬† Going gray and keeping it that way is becoming¬†more¬†common.¬† Everyone from Academy Award Winner, Meryl Streep to What Not To Wear’s Stacy London are¬†flaunting¬†their grays.¬† Bypassing the salon visit or drugstore and opting to go¬† ‘au naturale’¬† has¬†become a¬†chic and flattering style that’s on its way to being a red carpet staple.

I personally love seeing celebrities flaunting their silver strands.¬† If you’ve seen Meryl Streep in 2006′s The Devil Wears Prada, I’m sure you know what I mean.¬† There has even been a gray hair revolution from 20-something-celebrities who have begun to dye their hair!¬† This has inspired me to let my gray hair shine.

The most important key to gracefully¬†graying is to find a style that is “you” (view¬†the slide show¬†below for a variety of¬† hairstyles that compliment that gray hue).¬† Who knows, being¬†bold and flaunting your grays¬†may even add to your appeal.¬† It works wonders for George Clooney, right?

I would be happy to go with my own hair and colour. I am 70 and still have very few white strands, however my problem is the loss of my dark and very soft (baby fine) hair along all my possible part lines and generally all over the top of my head. A wig seems to be my best solution and I appreciate so very much your ‘whisper lite’ filaments!
